MAYDAY and the halls of the Westfalenhalle – they belong together. For 15 years. If the walls could speak they would have many a fascinating story to tell. For instance of when the rave was born. For the first time there was techno in a huge hall – with mega systems. And just as our music culture has constantly developed, so has MAYDAY. It has grown and never stopped expanding within the Westfalenhalle. But never as much as it will do with “Reflect Yourself”.
Now the 17th MAYDAY is coming and it will be the greatest of all time.
The Empire is moving into a new, larger hall and is making room for a new, fourth headfloor: the Factory is being reserved for the hardest types of electronic music. The Plaza will be the place of rest and the marketplace of MAYDAY – totally without music; but what it will have instead is a whole load of shops, bars and seating. There’ll be a lot to discover – and only your imagination will define the limits.
